All fifty Attorneys General have agreed to work together to investigate foreclosure fraud, but half of the 12-member executive committee was voted out of office in Tuesday's election.  Advocates are concerned that changes in personnel at the top, particularly in Ohio, will weaken the investigation.

A group of investors, including the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, is pressing Bank of America to buy back a portion of some $47 billion worth of mortgages because of flaws in the servicing process.  Bank of America claims any problems stemmed from the economic downturn rather than any underlying problem with how the mortgages were sold to investors.

As Hurricane Tomas bears down on the Carribean nation, the Haitian government is encouraging the 1.5 million citizens still homeless following January's devastating earthquake to seek shelter, but most of them do not have this option. "If I had friends or family with homes, I would have been there on the 13th of January," said one man. "If a storm hits I'll have nowhere to go."
