VAWA Overview

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Recovery Act) created several funding opportunities for victim service providers, including $225 million for Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) programs. Specifically, the Recovery Act provides $225 million to the Office on Violence Against Women for five of its existing programs, including $140 million for the Services*Training*Officers*Prosecutors Formula Grant Program (STOP Program). For more information about these programs, visit http://www.ovw.usdoj.gov/recovery.htm.
